Our Carlyle Conversations video series continues as we were fortunate enough to sit down with John Stewart, Director of HR at SSE plc.
HR play a pivotal role in any organisation, especially when on the Executive Committee of a listed business employing nearly 14,000 people.
John spoke about how the business has evolved over that time, how growth impacts culture, his own 15 year journey with the business and how to be successful in an organisation of that scale. John also shares some valuable advice on how to balance a full-time Executive role with Non-Executive work. We have to say his answer to a "fact that people might not know about him" in the quick fire questions round has to be one of the best yet!
