Scottish Rugby and Carlyle

Carlyle are proud to be partnering with Scottish Rugby to find its next Chief Financial Officer.

This is a pivotal time to join the organisation with Alex Williamson starting as CEO in early 2025 and following the completion of a major Strategy Review in 2024 led by Chair, John McGuigan. The new CFO will partner Alex and the wider Executive Team as the focus on delivering an improved financial position for Scottish Rugby, through a return to profitability and maximising the many opportunities available to drive commercial revenues.

This is a key leadership role for Scottish Rugby that will involve extensive collaboration with employees, professional clubs, club rugby community, sponsors, partners and wider stakeholders. We are delighted to be working with Scottish Rugby on such an important role for the team, the organisation and the wider Rugby community.

The search is being led by Alice Deakin (Head of CFO Practice) along with Alastair Ferrier and Duggie Carlyle.
